minä perhonen x HobonichiTote Bag tambourine (Navy)
This small tote bag is made with the same textile used in the minä perhonen Hobonichi Techo tambourine (Navy) cover.
Also available is a tote bag made with the same textile as the mermaid Hobonichi Techo cover from 2018. The bag is big enough to fit a Hobonichi Techo Cousin along with your wallet and any other personal items you’ll need when you’re out.
Ever since it was born in 2000, “tambourine” is one of minä perhonen’s trademark designs. The pattern features small dots of embroidery arranged in a circle, reminiscent of a tambourine. Because the base of the embroidered dots were drawn by hand, each dot has a different expression. The pattern conveys how imperfections are beautiful and there is not one same thing in this world.
The “tambourine” design has appeared a few times in the past as Hobonichi Techos, but this time, we chose the classic navy and white color combination. The base fabric is a linen georgette that has an elegant sheen matched with the woven texture. Thick threads were roughly woven to create a supple texture.

minä perhonen is a fashion brand created by designer Akira Minagawa.
First founded in 1995 under the name minä, and renamed “minä perhonen” in 2003. In Finnish, “minä” means “I,” and“perhonen”means “butterfly,” expressing Minagawa’s hopes to create designs as light-hearted and beautiful as a butterfly’s flapping wings.
