Keiko ShibataPYANDA (Yasashii Towel)

    This is a series of cheerful pandas doing radio calisthenics by picture book author Keiko Shibata. The pandas with yellow headbands work hard doing arm circles, body turns, and enthusiastic bridge exercises. We hope you enjoy the cute and heart-warming pandas.



    The gauze colors are sky blue for the Hand Towel, pink for the Kitchen Towel, and yellow and white for the Small Fingertip Towels, with light gray pile fabric on the other sides. The sporty and bright colors are great for both children and grown-ups.

    Born in Kochi prefecture. Picture book works include the Meganeko series (Tegamisha), the SHIROKUMA series (PHP Institute), and the PANDOROBOU “Bread Thief” series (KADOKAWA).

    The volume will differ to towels that uses pile fabric on both sides

    This towel uses pile fabric for one side of the fabric, and a double gauze for the other. It is more thin and light than towels that use pile fabric on both sides.

    The side with the gauze has equally-spaced dents

    The pile fabric and the gauze are attatched together with threads. The areas that are binded with the thread looks dented when looked from the side with the gauze.

    When you use the towel for the first time, thin fibers may come off the towel and stick to your face or body

    When you start using the towel, thin fibers may stick to your body when you wipe yourself, or drop off into the water inside your washing machine and may look like it's dyed. We recommend you wash it before you use it, and wash it on its own for 2 to 3 times, to avoid the fiber sticking to other clothes.

    It may give off color at the start

    Towels with prints may give off color at the beginning. Please avoid washing it with your whites. It may have a faint smell of dye at first, but will fade as you use it.

    The thread used in the pile fabric have a shine and is slippery, so threads may easily protrude

    The threads of the pile fabric used are processed so that it's plump and shiny, so the loops are easy to get caught. with little wrinkles. Avoid washing it together with clothes that have buttons or zippers. When the thread protrudes, cut the root of the thread with scissors.

    Do not use chlorine bleach or detergent with fluorescent brightening agents

    Do not use chlorine bleach or detergent with fluorescent brightening agents when washing as it will cause the towel to discolor.

    Avoid using fabric softeners

    To ensure the towel’s water absorbency, please avoid using fabric softeners.

    The towel will slightly shrink when washed and dried
