entoan Strap Pouch for HON

This leather pouch is perfect for carrying around the Hobonichi Techo HON, which made its debut in the Hobonichi Techo 2023 lineup.

The pouch has no gusset, and its slim shape makes it well-suited for any outfit. You can also hold it like a clutch bag for a fashion accent. The gently curved corners give it a cute look while also increasing practicality. Attaching the zipper along the curve allows the opening to open wide and easily reach or store items into the pouch.

The pouch is made by entoan, which is run by shoemakers Yoshihiro Sakurai and Chiaki Tomizawa. The couple mainly creates leather shoes, but the Strap Pouch is one of the items they’re creating as a means to introduce customers to the appeal of leather. They designed the pouch to accommodate the HON, which involved changing the inner dual pockets and the strap.

The dual pockets inside the pouch have a different placement for the divider between them, allowing the pockets to store the HON book alongside a pen. The pockets are also deeper than standard entoan Strap Pouches in order to fit the HON more comfortably and stabilize pens that are stored in the pocket by their pen hook.

The strap serves as an accent to the design and is made with the same leather as the pouch itself. It’s permanently attached to the pouch in order to keep it safe during use.

There’s an additional pocket with a zipper so you can store valuable items like coins, cards, keys, and more. The name entoan is listed underneath the pocket.

The unbleached cloth of the pouch interior contains piping that is colored to match the outer leather and provides a sturdy construction to the pouch.

The Strap Pouch uses vegetable tanned leather made in the Tuscany region of Italy. Italian leather has stunning colors, and while the process of vegetable tanning takes time and effort, it is environmentally friendly.

The type of leather varies per color.

Navy uses leather from Badalassi Carlo, a tanner that specializes in vegetable tannin. The leather has a beautiful pebbled texture and a smooth finish that, over continued use, becomes increasingly glossy and deeper in color.

Bordeaux is also vegetable tanned leather. It has a gorgeously detailed surface. The chic, elegant color grows even deeper over continued use.

Mustard is made with leather by Tempesti, a long-established tanner founded in 1946. The surface of the leather is relatively smooth and flat, and the colors are so vibrant and gorgeous that you’d never know that the leather is vegetable tanned.

Just as the color of these leather pouches will deepen over time, so will your attachment to your pouch. While they’re perfect for carrying your HON techo, you can also use it on a daily basis for comfortably carrying stationery, your smartphone, wallet, and more.

*Due to the all-natural leather, the surface of each pouch will vary on how much pebbling or other texture it does or does not have.

Leather may contain preexisting wrinkles and marks

In order to allow customers the enjoyment of all-natural leather, the leather is processed in a way that retains its original feel. This may leave imperfections visible on the surface of the cover, such as wrinkles, scratches, stains, or vein marks.
Depending on the conditions in which the cover is used, natural oils of the leather may emerge and appear as stains. We ask for your understanding for these naturally-occurring characteristics of genuine leather.

    Leather coloring stains

Dyed leather products tend to leave stains. Please be careful not to allow the leather to adhere or rub against other objects such as clothing or other belongings, especially if the bag is wet from water or sweat from your hands.

Immediately dry if it gets wet

Immediately dab your product with a dry cloth if it gets wet. Avoid drying it with high temperatures, and place it in a well-ventilated place in the shade.
