I’ve loved Yoshie Watanabe’s designs for a long time, so choosing this techo cover was an instant decision! While it has a chic feel, each flower has a unique shape, and when you look closely, there’s a stylish, edgy quality to the design that is just so cool! I also love that it’s made from a woven fabric rather than printed cloth, giving it a luxurious, high-end feel.

And an item I knew I had to carry alongside this techo was the Hobonichi Techo Mini Keychain (affectionately known as “Techo-key”)!

Inside the Techo-key is a tiny mini-notebook that you can actually write in, despite its size! I’m planning to pair it with KurePunch (Postage Stamp) to create a mini photo album.



Since I decided to attach the Techo-key to the cover’s pen loop, I’m using the Hobonichi Pencil Board for HON to carry my pen instead!



Naturally, choosing which techo to use is fun, but exploring new possibilities through stationery pairings really expands how you use your book. I had so much fun figuring out which set to assemble!

Inside my Work Techo

Since the cover is so compact and sleek, I chose the slim Avec book so I can carry it around stylishly without bulk.



In 2026, I used a Hobonichi Blank Notebook (A6). While I loved how freely I could write in it, I eventually missed having dates and grids as guiding anchors, so for 2027, I’m returning to the page-a-day style.

Also in 2026, alongside the Plain Notebook I used for work notes, I carried around a Fireside Chat Notebook (B7) to use as a mini scrapbook.

I really love this routine, so I plan to continue using a Fireside Chat Notebook with a different cover design!

Private Techo



I loved how seeing my red cover in 2026 gave me a surge of energy every time I looked at it, so I chose a red techo again for 2027!

Pairing the Colors: Poppy Red with Yoshie Watanabe’s Clear Cover (Dotted Plaid) creates a fresh, adorable look! Since you can also slip stickers or cards under the Clear Cover, customizing it bit by bit over time sounds so fun!



Inside my private techo

Every year, I use my personal techo as an “input journal” to record books I’ve read and exhibitions I’ve visited.

I tweak the format slightly each year. In 2026, my style was drawing a title and simple illustration on the left page, and writing small-font impressions on the right page.
(My mini-theme for this year was “pushing myself to put thoughts into words.”)

By the way, I stuck little thumbnails of different media I consumed in the monthly calendar.

While I used to love filling pages tightly with plain black ballpoint ink, I feel like brightening up my pages in 2027, so I’m going to try using the Kakimori × TSUKI no IRO Mini Ink Bottle Set and Frost Rollerball Pen!
(Having the Blotting Paper on hand gives great peace of mind when using ink!)

Changing the ink color each month is sure to give my entries a fresh vibe and make writing even more enjoyable!

And for my pencil board, I selected the V&A Series: Museum Stereographic Photograph, which feels tailor-made for an input journal!



Since this post would get too long, I couldn’t write about everything here, but there are still so many other items catching my eye, like the Pasting Notebook and Pocket Envelope...! I’m going to take my time deciding as 2027 approaches.

Hello! I’m an editor on the techo team.
Now that I’ve successfully witnessed the opening of the Hobonichi Techo Store at Tokyo Station, I sat down to properly choose my techo lineup for 2027.

I shared my indecision during our “Hobonichi Techo Kaigi LIVE” stream back in August — which, to my surprise, has already reached over 64,000 views! Wow! — but I’ve finally taken the plunge and made my choices.

Here they are!

■ Using a Cousin as my main techo.

My primary techo is an all-in-one hub for both work and personal life. I write, paste, take notes, draw work sketches, and paste in drawings, cards, and stickers from my kids.

I’ve been a steadfast user of the Hobonichi Techo Original for over a decade, but I decided it was time for a change — time to grow bigger. I’m stepping into the world of the Cousin! It’s a true “LIFE GROWS.” opportunity!



I previously tested a Cousin as a dedicated journal during the COVID-19 stay-at-home period, but this will be my first time using one as my primary techo.

I always enjoyed watching my Original gradually swell and grow over the year, but I started noticing how heavy my commute bag was getting. Then I realized: I don’t actually need to carry it around everywhere as long as I keep writing in it. So I decided to try keeping it as a “desk techo” inside my office locker!

For the cover, I chose the Natal Design: Hello New Day! (Retro Stripe). When you touch the fabric in person, you can tell right away how remarkably tough it is. It’s made from the same durable canvas used for camping chairs. That level of heavy-duty functionality — almost making you ask, “Isn’t this over-engineered?” — gives off a playful, relaxed confidence.

Tsukada-san from NATAL DESIGN mentioned this during an interview:
We felt that the biggest stress reliever must be the experience of learning something new, like trying fishing for the first time, even if you’ve never done it before. Taking on new challenges helps you grow far more than doing the same thing over and over.

That’s why I want to write down new things I learn in this book. To give shape to that determination, I’m clearly stepping up to a Cousin!

"GOOD BYE YESTERDAY, HELLO NEW DAY!"

■ Carrying Around a Weeks Mega

With the Cousin serving as my desk book, my carry-around techo will be a weeks.

I already use a weeks to jot down notes from our weekly company all-hands meetings and weekly task lists, but expecting my workload to increase, I decided to go with a Weeks Mega this year.

For the cover, I picked the Colors: Canaria Yellow. I always seem to gravitate toward yellow items — whether it’s a drawer pouch or a tote bag, if there’s a yellow option, I just can’t help choosing it!

I plan to use this book for interview notes, ideas thought up while on the go, and daily tasks.

■ I decided that I'll use a HON as my diary.

And for my journal, I chose a HON. This was a lock-in right from the very beginning: ONE PIECE magazine: Very Very Merry!



I’ve kept up a daily journaling habit ever since the HON debuted in 2023. I can’t say I write every single day, but with a little help from the Hobonichi Techo App, I log entries whenever I can. Reading back later and finding something written down always brings a nice little feeling of warmth.

I love reading daily quotes, so I’ll be reading the standard daily quotes in my Cousin while enjoying the One Piece dialogue in this special edition!



What’s more, the December section of the 2027 edition features quotes directly from Eiichiro Oda! A whole month filled entirely with Oda-sensei’s words! Excerpts from ONE PIECE magazine interviews, SBS Q&A columns, and conversations with other manga artists — it’s an absolute treasure trove of quotes.



The design of the HON itself is wonderful, too. Since 2027 is the Year of the Sheep, it features the sheep-headed Going Merry! I was so impressed seeing how they pulled out that scene where Zoro is sleeping right on top of Merry’s head.

And with that, my setup for 2027 is completely locked in! Our “Hobonichi Techo Kaigi 2027” series is still ongoing, so take your time and enjoy thinking about how you’d like to welcome next year!

Hello! This is Airi from the techo team.

I held techo kaigi after techo kaigi, telling myself, “I’m definitely going to have everything finalized by the day I write my Techo News post!” — and yet, I still haven’t completely made up my mind.

Though I’m still mulling over a few details, let me introduce the techos I’m planning to use next year as of today.
Ta-da!



For 2027, I plan to use five main techos!

In 2026, my theme was “Enjoy my techos to the fullest!” where I experimented with a lot of different books. After using them for over six months, I’ve started to see my long-term go-to “standards,” as well as areas where I’d like to tweak my usage slightly.

Let me dive into the details!




■ For Carrying Around: Weeks Mega

Monthly: Schedules, habit tracker, monthly goals & reflections
Weekly: Notes, thoughts, ideas
Memo pages: Daily time schedule, to-do list, weekly goals & reflections
My 100: Things I want to achieve

This year, I’ve been carrying around a HON alongside a Weekly techo to write out my daily time schedules. However, I realized I was running out of line height and width.

I want to write more — what should I do?! After experimenting with various setups, I found that drawing a time schedule directly onto the weeks memo pages worked best for me! And with a Weeks Mega, there are plenty of memo pages, so I don’t have to worry about running out.

With this method, I’m hoping to reduce days that drift by aimlessly and cut down on accidental forgetfulness in 2027!

■ For Journaling & Memory Keeping: Original (Cover still undecided)

Monthly: One-line daily diary
Daily pages: Detailed daily journal
My 100: Idea bank
Notebook for Pasting: Memory ephemera

In 2026, I kept my journal in a Cousin Avec. I chose a Cousin for days when I wanted to write and paste a lot, and the Avec split version so it wouldn't get too bulky when stuffed.

Over these 6 months, I realized that on heavy writing and pasting days, even a full page in the Cousin wasn't enough. If I pasted travel ephemera, there wasn't enough room to write; if I wrote a lot, there was no space to paste. Facing this dilemma, a savior appeared: the Collect & Collage: Pasting Notebook!



This is it!!
I love being able to separate what I want to write into my techo and what I want to paste into this notebook.

Plus, the beauty of this notebook is that an A4 sheet folded into thirds fits perfectly inside, and there's a companion item called Collect & Collage: Collage Stickers (Pocket) that lets you paste thicker items!



Now I can easily store things like maps that I used to hesitate pasting into my techo or other notebooks. I’m so genuinely thrilled about this!

It’s also great that you can add a second or third notebook as the year goes on.

As you might have noticed, I love this so much that I’ve already started using it! The fact that I don’t have to wait until 2027 to start using it is another huge plus. So much to be happy about!

Since the book itself will focus on writing, I’m going with an Original size. As for the cover, I’m still torn... Part of me wants to choose GLOW and watch the leather age gracefully as I grow alongside it, while another part is so completely charmed by Frederick...

Please let me think about it a little longer...!




■For Health Management & Positivity: Moomin Weeks

Yearly: Hospital visits, medications, supplements
Monthly: Daily mood (face sticker) + brief note, step count graph, gym logs
Weekly: Wake-up/bedtimes, weather, temperature, physical condition, things I’m grateful for, happy moments, things I worked hard on

2027 will mark my third year with this setup. Writing in it right after waking up has become a daily habit. It’s my #1 “so glad I kept this” techo, so I’m continuing this exact routine for 2027!

I’m so excited thinking about how opening the special Moomin edition every morning will make my routine even more delightful!

■For Input & Entertainment: Weeks

Monthly: Reading logs, schedules for exhibitions/events I want to visit
Weekly: Logs of content watched, read, or listened to; quotes I want to remember, impressions

I plan to use this in the exact same format as 2026!
The very first book I decided to buy for 2027 was this Leo Lionni: Frederick Weeks. I’ve always loved Frederick, but what sealed the deal was hearing the explanation from Nanako-san on the planning team.

Here's the quote from the product page.

The back of the cover is printed in a bright silver-gray ink with the handwritten “Frederick” lettering used on the endpapers of the picture book. The string of letters almost makes it look like we are seeing what is going on inside Frederick’s head...?

I often struggle with overthinking and having my head filled to the brim with words, but knowing that Frederick is the same way made me feel like that’s actually a wonderful trait.

I realized that being able to experience different works and feel and think deeply about them might actually be one of my strengths, so I’m using this as my input & entertainment techo!

■For Work: HON

Monthly: Broad schedule
Daily pages: Daily goals, reflections, to-dos, notes, ideas, meeting records

In 2026, I used a HON Slash (Ivory), but for 2027, I’m going to tackle my work alongside Navy!
I’ll continue using the same format as 2026, while also adding daily goals and reflections.

■Bonus：Pippi

While I was holding my techo meeting, Pippi (the little chick figurine who always watches over my techo time) was looking on with sparkling eyes. Apparently, seeing the small printed photos of the techos, Pippi thought they were custom-sized techos made just for chicks!

The printed pictures were actually just scaled-down photos of large books, but when I explained that there are actual tiny techos available this year, Pippi was overjoyed!



So I decided to buy an extra mini techo for Pippi. Now we can enjoy techo time together!

Even though this setup feels set in stone for now, I’ll probably keep deliberating until the end of the year — no, until 2027 actually starts... As I read through these Techo News posts, everyone’s reasons for choosing their books are so compelling that I start second-guessing myself all over again!

My personal theme for 2027 is: “Dive headfirst into the things I love!”

Ever since the 2027 lineup was revealed, I had been mulling over my choices for sooo long, but thanks to everyone giving me that extra push during the Hobonichi Techo Kaigi LIVE stream, I’ve finally made up my mind! Yay!

Book 1: Botanical Techo


For my botanical journal, it simply had to be this one: V&A: Leicester! Isn’t it just breathtaking?! It was an instant decision for me. I also adore its canvas-like texture—it feels like carrying a real oil painting around with me!



In my botanical techo, I track plants I spot along my commute or on walks, color-coding them into three stages:
●Sprouting ●Flowering ●Fruiting/Seeding recording which plants appear each season. Some are around all year round, while others sprout suddenly in a short window — just taking a walk yields so many fun discoveries! On the weekly pages, I write down my observations alongside photos.

I’ve been gradually recording wild plants since 2025, and since I still haven’t memorized all their names and seasons, I plan to keep recording right through 2027!


Book 2: Information & Learning Techo


I usually lean toward artistic designs for my information techo, but for 2027, after reading this interview, I just knew I had to pick: Natal Design's “Lucky Swallow”!

Without going into too much detail here, I deeply resonated with Natal Design’s philosophy — like how they "felt that the biggest stress reliever must be the experience of learning something new” That’s what made me choose this techo for the year!



My information techo is where I consolidate things I want to keep as personal knowledge — museum visits, reading notes, research, and travel logs. I love learning new things! I can’t wait to grow and change alongside this book — so excited!

Book 3: Travel Techo


This one... was so hard to decide on! I normally keep travel logs inside my information techo, but for 2027, there’s a Suica’s Penguin design!

Just think... Tokyo Station marking the start of my trips...! It's perfect!
But adding another book would bring my total to six techos... I worried whether I’d actually manage to keep up with it, but everyone during the Hobonichi Techo Kaigi LIVE gave me the push I needed, so I decided to get it! Pre-order locked in!!

I plan to dedicate it entirely to travel, and just thinking about how to use it is so much fun that I’ve already started buying accessories for it. Hehehe.

Book 4: Private Life (Freestyle!)


For my personal life, I used an Original book paired with a cover for many years, but V&A’s “Vine” was so stunning this year that I decided to go with the HON! It’s an irresistible design for plant lovers. If you look really closely, you can even see faint underdrawings, so be sure to inspect it up close!

Inside, I use it completely freely — drawing illustrations and pasting in whatever I like without worrying about sticking to a uniform layout.



As for my other books... for work, I’m using a Day-Free with V&A’s Strawberry Thief! And for my 5-Year Techo, I’ll be continuing right into my fifth year.

Hello! This is Ogawa from the sales team on the techo crew. Have you decided on your 2027 techo yet? I have a few items I decided on in a heartbeat, and others I’m still agonizing over!

First, let me show you everything — including the ones I haven't made up my mind on. Here they are!

If you include the notebooks, I think I'll end up using 4 techos next year. Here's how I plan on using them:

1) For Work: Cousin Avec & Cover


Since I used a work techo in 2026, I knew right from the start that I wanted a Cousin Avec paired with a cover. The only question was which cover to pick, but this year I made my decision in an instant! I absolutely love Moominpappa at Sea, so I knew if I were getting a cover, it had to be this one! I’m so happy it features the famous scene of Moominmamma sleeping inside the mural she painted on the wall.

For the book inside, I’m continuing with the Cousin Avec following 2026. The spacious layout gives me plenty of room for notes, and because it’s split into two 6-month books, it isn’t too heavy for my daily commute. It’s a wonderful book for desk work and office days.

To keep it clean while carrying it around, I’m using it with a Cover on Cover.
(Note: It’s a pretty snug fit, so I might take it off later depending on how it feels...)

2. For Private "Writing": A5 HON (English)

In 2026, I used an Original and a Day-Free together for my personal life, but for 2027, I fell in love with this design and decided to switch over to the HON! I was also deeply moved by William Morris’s famous quote foil-stamped on the cover:


Have nothing in your houses that you do not know
to be useful or believe to be beautiful.

I seriously couldn't agree more! So, as one of those things I believe to be beautiful, I’ve decided to keep this techo in my house.

However, I have a habit of pasting lots of receipts and wrappers into my techo, so I’m a bit worried it might lose its shape... Just as I was wondering what to do, a savior appeared!

3. The Pasting Notebook to stick all my personal things in!

Ta-da! The notebook dedicated to “pasting” from the new Collect & Collage series — aptly named the Pasting Notebook!

It’s sized perfectly to freely paste tall tickets or long receipts, and the grid lines at the top and bottom make it easy to add short comments.

Just pasting items and jotting down small notes creates a look reminiscent of a curated collection. For anyone with a habit of collecting things — myself included — this is simply irresistible!



Along with the Pasting Notebook, I picked two types of stickers from the same Collect & Collage series.

Since they’re from the same series, any combination of stickers will look cohesive and organized—so reliable! Having a set of stickers with matching aesthetics is super handy.

I can’t wait to keep pasting away and collecting memories!

4. Undecided Usage: Weeks

I didn’t use the Weeks in 2026, and I hadn’t planned on using one in 2027 either, but there's so many lovely designs that I want!
I think I'll decide what to do with it by first gather ideas from Instagram and YouTube.

Floral Remedy (left) has a sophisticated floral pattern I love, Graph Plaid (center) has an intelligent, crisp vibe, and Frosty Jade (right) has a cool color palette with subtle, charming shimmer. I’m completely torn!

I’ll make up my mind on which one to get before the end of the year!

In holding my techo meeting, I realized how much fun it is to mull over choices and get delightfully torn between multiple designs I love. I hope you all have fun picking your techo for next year, too!

Hello! This is Ono from the techo team.
This is my first-ever techo meeting, and actually, the very first time I’ve ever chosen a techo cover!
With so many enticing designs, I went back and forth, deliberating over this and that... until I finally decided on POTR: Stride (Peacock Blue)!

I plan to use this setup for work.
You see, whenever I move between meetings around the office, I have a bad habit of dropping my mouse, forgetting my keycard... all the time, over and over again.

Then it hit me: If I’m going to drop or forget things anyway, why not just carry everything together in one place?!

I took a gamble and picked it hoping my mouse would fit inside — and it actually did!



It’s a tiny bit snug, but since it’s only for short trips between rooms, it’s no problem at all. The flap closes securely, too! While taking photos, I thought, “Wait, could it...?” and tried slipping my glasses in—and they were a perfect fit!

I’m constantly putting on, taking off, and misplacing my glasses, so this is super convenient! My keycard goes into the back pocket, along with a charging cable and snacks I received as souvenirs.



Although I selected it for work, with this kind of capacity, it would also make a great outing bag for carrying my phone, a paperback book, and cards. Even with the techo tucked inside and closed, it stays delightfully compact!



From now on, I’ll be zipping through the office with this techo cover by my side!

By the way, for managing my daily personal schedule, I use the Weeks. I’m not particularly diligent about writing long entries, so after using one this year, I found that this size fits me best.

Both glossy and sparkly — so wonderful!
I plan to get the April-start edition for my weeks, so I’ll take a little more time to mull it over.

Here are the techos I excitedly picked for 2027! Since I love things that are simple yet chic and cute, I decided to choose my lineup around that exact theme.

■ 2027 marks my first time using a Cousin!

I plan to use it to paste in photos and paper ephemera, keeping a rich record of my daily life and travel memories.

■ Trying My Hand at a Hobby Techo

I met someone who used a scoreboard stamp to keep track of baseball games at Hobonichi Techo Caravan in Kagoshima. I really wanted to try that for myself, so I picked a Weeks to be my dedicated baseball journal! I’m already looking forward to recording my favorite sport — pages are probably going to get wild during the yearly High School Baseball Championship season...!

I was also drawn to the Folio cover because its color name reminded me of my own name, so I picked it up to use for paperback books. Slipping a book inside, it’s a remarkably snug fit...! I'm looking forward to enjoy reading on the go.

In my 2026 techo, I used to write monthly goals on the title page of each month, so TSUKI no IRO’s “12 Month Index Pockets” are an absolute perfect fit for me. I’ll keep using them to write down my monthly goals in 2027!

I'm hoping to use the Collect & Collage: Collage Stickers (Deco) to match the day’s mood and events, adding pops of color while enjoying my daily techo time.

As for the Hobonichi Techo Mini Keychains, I picked Bright Plaid! It’s so unbelievably cute and already a favorite!

Since the cover itself is so sleek, I attached an “Pocket Envelope” (A5 size). The color blends in seamlessly, and because it has a gusset, it holds a ton — perfect for storing lots of stickers!

I'm Kawamura from the techo team, I hope everyone is having a lovely day.

The year and a half I've been a member of this team has flown by. I've recently spent all my waking hours pondering over what techo to use next year. Honestly. But it's no unpleasant in the slightest, as I'm sure you're all aware, this time to think is unbelievably fun.
And after much careful deliberation, here’s what I bought!



For my cover, I picked the leather “Glow: Chianti” (Original A6 size). Leather always felt like an out-of-reach luxury to me, so I used to hesitate, but seeing and touching Glow in person revealed a wonderfully rustic quality and an unpretentious, relaxed feel. I also love the delicious-sounding color name, “Chianti.”



For my techo book, I chose the A6 Day-Free. In 2026, I used a two-book setup: an Avec for work with Hobonichi and a Day-Free for my other freelance editing work. But this year, I decisively consolidated down to just a single Day-Free. If I ever run out of pages, I’ll simply add an A6 notebook to the mix.



As for stationery, the “Pocket Envelope For A6 Size” is genuinely a case of “This is exactly what I wanted!!” Up until now, I’d been pasting in off-the-shelf envelopes, but since this is an official accessory, it matches the exact color of the endpaper. Even as a newcomer, it sits there with a dignified air, as if to say, “What? I’ve been here all along!”

The TSUKI no IRO “Translucent Sticky Notes (Tiles)” have such a sleek, beautiful look when folded — they don’t loudly brag, “Look at me, I come in 12 colors!” Since each sticky note fits right inside a single monthly calendar grid box, I can write on them or use them as bookmarks. Their versatility makes them feel incredibly reliable, and I have high hopes for them!

Next up, I drafted the Planner as my contender for daily journaling! Currently, I use an Original book with a cover, but since I only use my techo at my desk, I realized that while a cover is nice to have, going coverless isn’t inconvenient at all. I don’t necessarily need a 24-hour timeline or to-do lists, but having a full 1-page-per-day layout is an absolute must. Which naturally led me straight to the Planner! I’ll figure out a cover later down the line.



And finally, when buying my GLOW cover, I compared two or three of them in person and realized that every single piece has its own distinct texture and natural leather tiger-striping (wrinkles) — no two are exactly alike. Since this cover is all about enjoying the way it ages over time, I plan to take my time and savor using it.

Hello, it's from the techo team. Are you enjoying reading everyones Techo Kaigi?
Actually, I also put what techos and stationery I plan on buying and using next year in my current techo to figure things out.

Let me explain a little about the why and how I plan on using them!

■ Diary / Personal life schedule



For my personal techo, I had been agonizing over whether to use an A5 HON from the V&A series or pair a Cousin techo book with the cover by Akiko Miyakoshi.
During the “Hobonichi Techo Kaigi LIVE” stream I participated in with ++the other day, a viewer gave us the brilliant advice: “Why not put the cover over the HON?” So we tried it right then and there on stream!
As it turns out, if you slip just one side of the book into the pocket like this, you can actually close and use it without a problem!



I was so thrilled about this discovery that I decided to go with this exact pairing! Besides, the color combination when it’s tucked inside looks so wonderful, doesn’t it? (Thank you so much to everyone who gave me advice!)

The design of Akiko Miyakoshi’s “An Airport at Night” features a rich, dark background. I was captivated by its mysterious atmosphere, where a story seems to unfold seamlessly from the front cover to the back.



If you look closely, you can tell the shades of black used in the building and night sky are subtly different.



The words “Unforgettable Moments” are printed on the inside pocket. In my daily journaling, I often write down things keeping in mind the thought, “I never want to forget this, even if it's just a minor little thing.” — so having this phrase on the cover makes me so happy.

Meanwhile, the V&A series HON is a perfect fit for the Hobonichi Techo 2027's theme, “LIFE GROWS.”



Illustrated on its canvas-like textured cover is “Vine,” overflowing with ripe grapes.



Perhaps because it was originally created as hand-printed wallpaper, you can see seam-like lines naturally integrated into the pattern, giving it an artisanal, handcrafted charm that I find deeply moving.

■Hobby Log

I decided on the Moomin special edition Weeks to use to log what books I read, movies I watch, and books I read.



Fishing, playing instruments... Snufkin looks busy yet full of joy! I immediately thought “This is the perfect techo for my hobbies!” the moment I saw it.



Printed across the weekly pages are quotes from Moominvalley characters excerpted from the original novels. I haven’t read the Moomin novels yet, but I’m excited about discovering wonderful quotes that will make me pause and think!



On the My 100 page, I write down the titles of books I read each year, and the Moomin special edition Weeks actually includes an illustration of Moomintroll reading a book! Seeing how it aligned with my actual usage was another delightful surprise.

■For Work

Every year, I pick my work Weeks with the mindset of: “I want to become the kind of person who suits a techo like this!”

That’s when tanakadaisuke’s Weeks caught my eye. It’s unbelievably sparkly and cool!



The beads and sequins create a dimensional, textured surface that changes its look depending on the angle of the light.



The spine is also scattered with shimmering motifs and foil accents. Carrying this while walking around the office for meetings is sure to boost my mood!

■Stationery & Accessories

Here is the stationery I plan to add to my setup this year!



I plan to use the notebook and stickers from the brand-new “Collect & Collage” series to neatly preserve paper ephemera collected during my trips. I’m also eyeing the Rotating Stamp for decorating!

The Kakimori × TSUKI no IRO fountain pen has such a gorgeous barrel that it’s another must-have on my list.

As for the Hobonichi Techo Mini Keychains, I honestly want every single color! But after stepping back and thinking rationally, I decided to start with just the Blue × Pink version. I have a feeling my stationery wishlist will only keep growing!

Excuse the sudden tangent, but allow me to share a quick story about something that happened the other day. recently returned from a business trip to Korea. Along with some souvenirs, she handed me a postcard, saying, “I saw this and thought it felt a bit like you, Liam!”



I see. So she’s saying I’m like a dog lounging around, huh?
Setting aside whether I’m actually a lounger or not, people do compare me to a dog quite often. In fact, I’ve even been gifted a full-body set of dog pajamas before!

So for this year’s techo meeting, I decided to pick out a techo that suits me best. My theme for 2027 is simple: “Choosing a ‘somewhat dog-like’ techo.”

I set two rules for this challenge:
・Nothing featuring actual dogs or explicit dog motifs. (After all, it’s only meant to be somewhat dog-like.)
・Pick a cover I’ve never used before.

As I was wondering around Tobichi, wondering what to pick, the friendly staff came and helped me out!



I decided on this Smooth: Café au Lait Weeks
When I think of a "dog," it's almost exclusively a big fluffy thing like a golden retriever, but whilst speaking with the staff, she mentioned something that struck me like an absolute thunderbolt. "There are smooth, short-haired dogs out there too!"
Hence, the Smooth Weeks (it feels just like stroking the sleek fur of a bulldog!)

You could almost say just the techo itself was somewhat dog-like, but looking around the shop we made another discovering which took it to the next level.

It almost looks like a dog, reading to head out for it's daily walk! How cuute. Can you imagine it's cute little face and wagging tail?

Now then, that wraps up my Techo Kaigi. I shan't keep it waiting, I'll be taking my techo out for walkies!
