[Techo Kaigi 2026]
My 2026 picks are these three!

Hello, I’m Ayagi from the Hobonichi Techo team.
After holding several Techo Kaigi since the 2026 lineup was announced, I’ve finally made up my mind!
I’d like to use these three techos in 2026.

Isn’t the time spent thinking about which techo to use part of the fun?

I held my Techo Kaigi in my techo.

You can find my Techo Kaigi on YouTube too. Please check it out if you want to see how I made the page above.

Techo 1: Personal use / Scrap journal
I started this “scrap journal” style in 2024, where I simply stick in all sorts of things.

It can be shop cards, pamphlets, chopstick sleeves—anything flat I pick up while I’m out.
When I look back on it, it feels like my scraps bloom into memories, which makes me really happy. Only, your techo does end up quite chunky, so I recommend using an Avec.

I think I'll continue this habit in 2026, with the Kyohei Sakaguchi cover.

I’d like to gaze at it the same way you zone out while looking up at the sky.

Techo 2: For work

This is the one I use for jotting down work notes and organizing my to-dos. In 2025 I used a Cousin techo, but next year I plan to scale down to the more compact Original. I’ll pair it with the Letter cover! I love the string you can wrap around.

I’m already looking forward to carrying it with me!

Techo 3: My on-the-go memo techo
I started this one in 2025. It’s for jotting down anything that pops into my head. I found out that looking back on it later is surprisingly fun.

I carry a mini set of colored pencils with me, too.

I make note of things like: an outfit I noticed on the street, random thoughts, or something about my cat.
Even things that don’t seem important at the time often turn out to be interesting later on — I really recommend it!
For 2026, I plan to make things even more compact by pairing a Weeks with a Tragen cover for extra storage. (Though I haven’t decided which Weeks yet...)

I want to keep my pen and small bits together!

That’s it for my Techo Kaigi 2026!
Thanks for reading, and please look forward to tomorrow’s post from another member.
