Hobonichi Planner
A6 Book
(January Start)(Monday-Start Week Only)
The Hobonichi Planner is the English version of the Japanese Original Hobonichi Techo, specially created in collaboration with ARTS&SCIENCE owner Sonya Park. It takes all the great features of the Original Hobonichi Techo, including the one-page-per-day design, lay-flat binding and daily quotes, and refines them into a clean, simplified design.
The graph paper in the English version is slightly enlarged to 4mm to allow users to write comfortably in any language. Timelines are simplified to a single 12 to denote noon so users can completely customize it to their own schedule (or ignore it completely), and each day is also conveniently labeled with the number of the consecutive week that year, from 1 to 52. Features such as a list of international holidays and international size charts cater to the worldwide community that comes together through this book.
The chic black cover features a subtle engraving of the Japanese characters for techo along with the ARTS&SCIENCE logo. The 2016 edition includes an informative map of Japan, tips on eating out in Japan and more.
The Hobonichi Planner is only available with a Monday-start week.
See here for detailed, illustrated information.
We also offer this A6 size in a Japanese version called Original
or in a larger A5 size (twice as large) in Japanese called the Cousin.
Also available is the Japanese Weeks, which contains a full week on the left page and a blank memo page on the right.

Correction and Apology for Typographical Error
We would like to apologize for the following mistaken data in the Hobonichi Planner 2016:
On the May 18th daily page, "CA" is printed to denote a national holiday of Canada. However, the correct date is May 23rd. Similarly, on the National Holidays page, the May column is marked on the 18th, but this too should be marked as the 23rd for the correct national holiday date for Canada.
We deeply apologize for any confusion this may have caused.

- Test fountain pens before regular use
-
The Hobonichi Techo's Tomoe River paper is designed to prevent bleed-through, but some fountain pens and water-based ink pens are not compatible with this paper. When switching to a new pen, we recommend testing the pen somewhere in the book, such as the back memo pages, to see if the ink bleeds through or takes an especially long time to dry.
