minä perhonen creates all-original garment textiles that are specially dyed, embroidered and woven to recreate designs that were originally hand-drawn. After years of requests, we’re thrilled to offer minä perhonen covers for the Hobonichi Techo Weeks for the first time.
This cover features intricately embroidered apple trees. Ringo is Japanese for apple, and the ringo pattern is a longtime favorite of minä perhonen. There’s an apple tree on each side of the Hobonichi Techo cover. Look closely and you’ll see a small bird perched on the branches.
The cover is made with a soft linen georgette material in a gentle beige tone, and every individually embroidered thread pops from the cover to offer the full charm of a fabric cover.
The zipper pull is made with natural leather and includes a butterfly charm.
The cover interior is made with faux leather in a striking and cheerful shade of lemon yellow. The right side of the interior contains a handy pen hook to hold a pen by its clip.
The soft lines of the detailed embroidery and light pastel color tones create a comforting cover that will warm your heart.
About minä perhonen
minä perhonen is a fashion brand created by designer Akira Minagawa.
First founded in 1995 under the name minä. Opened the first shop in Tokyo in 2000, and renamed the brand name to "minä perhonen" in 2003.
In Finnish, “minä” means “I,” and “perhonen”means “butterfly,” expressing Minagawa’s hopes to create designs as light-hearted and beautiful as the flapping wings of a butterfly.

This cover is designed to hold only one side of the planner book cover. Forcing both sides of the book into the cover will place stress on the book spine and may cause ripping or hinder the zipper.

These Hobonichi Techo cover designs were directed by minä perhonen, but produced by Hobonichi. Inquiries about these covers cannot be answered at minä perhonen shop locations, so please contact the Hobonichi Store with any questions or concerns.
