We’ll be hosting a special event on the 6th floor of the Ginza Loft to celebrate the launch of the Hobonichi Techo 2019 lineup. We’ll have the full lineup of new covers on display and available for sale. You can also explore our exhibition about writing and watch our live talk event. Come enjoy all the fun experiences there are to “Write!”
We’ll take a look at users in various fields and see the intriguing ways they use the Hobonichi Techo on a daily basis. We’ve gathered a collection of photographs sharing the moments users write in their techos at work and in their private lives.
We’ll have the same pens at the venue that are featured in the Hobonichi Techos on display. You can test out and purchase the pens on site.

We’ve got a big table at the very center of the exhibition where you can come and write some entries of your own.
We’ve got an area for concentrating your mind and writing in the pages with a brush pen, an area for sharing a list of your favorite writing tools, and of course, a Tomoe River paper testing area! We’ll have lots of writing tools available for you to use. You can also write or draw freely on the big windows of the venue.
Shigesato Itoi has spent 2018 pouring more effort than ever into using his Hobonichi Techo. With this new outlook, he’ll be covering the topic of “writing” in this year’s talk event, accompanied by popular radio DJ and longtime Hobonichi Techo user Fumika Hideshima.
